  Steps to GED Diploma:

ขั้นตอนตั้งแต่การสมัครสอบ จนได้ Transcript และ Diploma นั้นจะมีหลักๆ 4 ขั้นตอนด้วยกันดังนี้ค่ะ

สมัคร GED Account

ขั้นตอนแรก จะต้องสร้าง GED Account และกรอกประวัติให้ถูกต้องและครบถ้วนเสียก่อน โดยการเข้าไปที่ www.ged.com

ซึ่งหากอายุ 18 ปีขึ้นไปจะสมัครได้เลย แต่หากอายุ 16-17 ปี จะต้องให้ผู้ปกครองเซ็นใบยินยอม (Consent form) ซึ่งอาจใช้เวลา 3-7 วัน ระบบจึงจะสร้าง GED Account ให้

สมัครและสอบ GED Ready ให้ผ่าน

ผู้สมัครจะต้องสมัครแบบทดสอบก่อนสอบจริงที่เรียกว่า GED Ready และทำคะแนนให้ได้ไม่ต่ำกว่า 145 คะแนนต่อวิชา (จากคะแนนเต็ม 200 คะแนน) โดยเข้าไปทำได้ที่ www.ged.com

ทั้งนี้ GED Ready (ค่าสอบวิชาละ $7.99) คือแบบทดสอบวัดความพร้อมก่อนไปสอบจริงโดยสอบจากที่บ้านได้ มีจำนวนข้อสอบและให้เวลาสอบประมาณครึ่งหนึ่งของข้อสอบจริง โดยจะมีความยากใกล้เคียงกับข้อสอบจริง

โดยเมื่อทำแบบทดสอบ GED Ready เสร็จแล้ว ไม่เกิน 15 นาทีจะทราบผลสอบ หากผ่านตามเกณฑ์ 145 คะแนนขึ้นไปแล้ว ระบบจึงจะอนุญาตให้สอบจริงในวิชานั้นๆได้

สมัครสอบ GED จริง

หลังจากทำแบบทดสอบ GED Ready ผ่านตามเกณฑ์ที่กำหนดแล้ว ระบบจะอนุญาตให้สมัครสอบจริงในวิชานั้นได้ โดยไปที่ www.ged.com และกด schedule test (ค่าสอบวิชาละ $85)

ผู้สอบจะต้องสอบให้ได้อย่างน้อย 145 คะแนนต่อวิชา (จากคะแนนเต็ม 200 คะแนน) จึงจะถือว่าสอบผ่าน

หากยังสอบไม่ถึงเกณฑ์ (สอบได้ต่ำกว่า 145) สามารถสอบใหม่ได้  อย่างไรก็ตาม มีกฎเกี่ยวกับการสอบใหม่ที่ควรทราบดังนี้

1. การสอบวิชาเดิมเป็นครั้งที่สองและสาม สามารถทำได้หลังจากสอบครั้งที่แล้วไปไม่ต่ำกว่า 1 วัน
2. การสอบวิชาเดิมเป็นครั้งที่สี่เป็นต้นไป วันที่สอบใหม่จะต้องเว้นห่างวันสอบครั้งที่แล้วไม่ต่ำกว่า 60 วัน
3. ในกรณีที่สอบตกวิชาใดวิชาหนึ่ง (หรือตกมากกว่า 1 วิชา) เมื่อสอบซ่อม ให้สอบเฉพาะวิชาที่สอบตก ไม่จำเป็นต้องสอบใหม่ทั้งหมด

หากสอบผ่านเกณฑ์ขั้นต่ำ 145 คะแนนแล้ว แต่อยากได้คะแนนเพิ่ม สามารถทำได้แต่มีเงื่อนไขดังนี้

1. ต้องสอบให้ผ่านเกณฑ์ขั้นต่ำ 145 คะแนนในทุกวิชาก่อน จึงจะขอสอบใหม่เพื่อเพิ่มคะแนนได้
2. ทำเรื่องขอสอบใหม่เพื่อเพิ่มคะแนนด้วยการส่งข้อมูลไปที่ operations@ged.com

ทำเรื่องขอ Transcript และ Diploma

เมื่อสอบผ่านทุกวิชาแล้ว ให้เข้าไปดาวน์โหลด transcript และ diploma โดยการเข้าไปที่ www.ged.com และนำไปใช้ในการเทียบวุฒิต่อไปที่ www.hsces.atc.chula.ac.th

Steps to Obtaining a GED Diploma:

The process, from registration to receiving your Transcript and Diploma, involves four main steps:

Create a GED Account

• Visit www.ged.com to create a GED ID and complete your profile with accurate details.
• Applicants aged 18 and above can register immediately.
• Applicants aged 16-17 must provide a signed Consent Form from a parent/ guardian. This process may take up to 7 days for the system to create the GED Account.

Register for and Pass GED Ready

• Take the GED Ready practice test for each subject at www.ged.com.
• Passing Score: At least 145 points per subject (out of 200).
• Cost: $6.99 per subject.
• GED Ready is a home-based test that is about half the length of the real test and has similar difficulty.
• Results are available within 15 minutes after completing the test. Once you pass GED Ready for a subject, the system allows you to schedule the real test for that subject.

Register for and Take the GED Test

• After passing GED Ready, schedule the GED test at www.ged.com.
• Cost: $80 per subject.
• Passing Score: At least 145 points per subject (out of 200).

Retaking a Subject

1. For the 2nd and 3rd attempts, retakes are allowed 1 day after the previous attempt.
2. For the 4th attempt and beyond, a 60-day waiting period is required after the last attempt.
3. Retake only the failed subjects; there’s no need to retake the entire test.

Improving Your Score

1. You must first pass all subjects with at least 145 points before retaking tests to improve scores.
2. Request retakes for score improvement by emailing operations@ged.com.

Request Your Transcript and Diploma

• After passing all subjects, visit www.ged.com to request your Transcript and Diploma to be sent by mail.
• Cost: Approximately $100.
• If you don’t request the documents, you’ll only receive e-Transcript and e-Diploma, which some universities may not accept for credential verification. It’s recommended to request physical copies.

By following these steps, you’ll obtain a GED Diploma equivalent to a high school diploma, enabling you to apply to universities globally.
